Teeth Whitening
Teeth whitening is a simple, effective & safe way to lighten the colour of your natural teeth. The technique that we prefer to use works really well and causes absolutely no harm to the teeth. Because it is done gradually over a number of nights, the amount of whitening can be controlled.
You will be assessed by your dentist first to make sure that your teeth are suitable for the procedure.
If you are considering other treatment, for example having some old crowns upgraded to improve their appearance, we will often offer tooth whitening first so that the new crowns can be matched to the new lighter colour of your natural whitened teeth. Please ask us for any details regarding tooth whitening.

White Fillings
Tooth coloured or white fillings can be made to blend into the natural colour of the tooth. They can be used in the front teeth and often in the back teeth. They are usually made out of a material called composite, but can sometimes be made out of ceramic for back teeth where they are called onlays or inlays.

When old metal amalgam fillings require replacing, we will assess which material will give you the best solution as far as strength and appearance are concerned.

Bridges
A bridge can sometimes be made to replace a missing tooth or teeth. The artificial tooth is fixed onto the teeth either side of the gap , usually by crowning the teeth adjacent to the gap or sometimes fixed onto just one tooth next to the gap.

If a tooth next to a gap has never been filled, it is sometimes possible to place an adhesive bridge which is held in place by a piece of metal or ceramic with a special adhesive to the back of the tooth next to the gap.this reduces the need to damage sound tooth tissue.

Crowns
A crown is made to cover a tooth; this may be to strengthen a heavily filled or cracked tooth, or to improve the appearance of a tooth.

Each crown is individually crafted by a skilled dental technician, who works from our prescription on a model cast from an impression of your prepared tooth . Whilst your crown is being made, the tooth will be covered by a temporary crown for appearance and to protect the tooth.

We regularly provide state of the art all ceramic crowns which contain no metal. These all ceramic crowns combine strength and a beautiful appearance to your teeth.
